Old wingmaster front sight replacement.
Old wingmaster front sight replacement.
Does anyone know what dovetail sight could be used to replace this one on an old Wingmaster 20” rifle sighted 12 gauge? Top snapped off. The rear sight style is pictured too in case that matters or helps.

Re: Old wingmaster front sight replacement.
Took a little bit of file fitting as expected. I think it’s a touch taller than the original but I have plenty of adjustment left in the rear and that will help me extend my zero out to 100 yards anyway. The “bead” is noticeably smaller, so that will help with slug groups too. Over all, as always, very pleased with skinner sights.

Choose the correct height to match your rear sight (typically 0.360" to 0.500" or more).

Re: Old wingmaster front sight replacement.
Interesting question. Identifying the correct replacement sight usually comes down to measuring the dovetail and matching the sight height to the existing rear sight.

Harperdr1, glad it fitted, though im not totally sold on the smaller bead helping with slug groups... on mine it went teh other way, as I lost it against dark cover and ended up shooting worse. Might just be my eyes (reckon they're past their best), so fair enough if it works for you at 100.Harperdr1 wrote:Took a little bit of file fitting as expected.
