I have an 870 LW20ga. Wingmaster on layaway. I'm just looking for a lightweight bird gun.
Does anyone know if I would see any weight reduction by replacing the stock & foreend with the Speedfeed. So far,
it is the only composite stock I have found to fit the 20ga.
Thanks!

Re: Speedfeed Composite Stock
If you're just going for light weight, you may be better off with the basic Remington synthetic furniture than with the Speedfeed. I don't have any 20ga furniture I can throw on a scale to give you an actual number, though.
Re: Speedfeed Composite Stock
Thanks for the reply...I just checked Remington's website and their accessory composite stocks & forends only fit the 12 & 16.
Re: Speedfeed Composite Stock
I got a number from Speedfeed-just under 2.0lbs for their composite stock & forend.
Does anyone know what the standard wood weighs?
Thanks again!

Re: Speedfeed Composite Stock
Remington's website is a bad place to look for most parts and accessories, they only have a handful of random items listed in their online store. My parts list has: STK ASSEM 20 GA SYN LT - P/N 99134. Is your gun the actual light-contour 20ga? If not, you'll have more options.ChiefZ wrote:Thanks for the reply...I just checked Remington's website and their accessory composite stocks & forends only fit the 12 & 16.
Re: Speedfeed Composite Stock
I am likely asking these things a bit premature being I still have it on layaway. The shotgun is the current model-Remington PN 96949. I'm not sure if the light contour is the current model or not. From what I have read, if it is not the light contour, then the stock for the 12/16 ga. will fit. I really do not know if that is correct either. I will just have to wait til I pick it up and go by the serial no.
Thanks for the help!
