Howdy from Hobbs, New Mexico
I am a California escapee, moved here with my wife when the last child graduated High School and enrolled in College here. We followed as the nest was empty and it was time to leave. That was 10 years ago, my youngest [a son] decided on a career in Law Enforcement and now resides in Tennessee with his bride. He has always been a firearms enthusiast and is a certified armorer of Glocks and AR platforms. We have always had 870's as our mainstay with a few others included in our collection. I am currently redoing a prison guard 870 to include a full choke ribbed bbl for trap and hunting. I am not sure if a plain Jane 870 receiver will accept a used walnut stock [such as Bob's gun parts have,] so any info on that would be appreciated. I have a TC grade trap 870, but I don't know anything about the various grades of Trap guns. I look forward to learning a lot about 870's from this forum. Pleased to be here. Regards, Ethan

Welcome to the forum.
All 870 stocks should be interchangeable between same-size receivers, so you should be good to go. 870 receivers are all the same under the finish. See this video for info and answers to common questions regarding removing & installing stocks; and feel free to ask if you have any additional questions.
