My son just gave me a NEBO Protec Flashlight with a Red Laser. It came with its own barrel mounting bracket. My question is: How in the hell do you zero in the laser. There are no adjustment screws...
Why would they put a laser on a flashlight without adjustment screws.

Well,.....You wouldn't use a laser that doesn't have windage and drop adjustments. Never even heard of NEBO... I'd maybe recommend spending a bit more on a flashlight if HD is its primary roll. Also, id recommend a laser with adjustments if you still deem one necessary.
Re: NEBO Protec Flashlight/Red Laser
I think that NEBO is on the very low end of the quality spectrum in regards to "weaponlights", and use like AA batteries. Whereas the higher quality lights use lithium batteries, and come with LED technology, and if it comes with a laser would have adjustment screws. It would make fine flashlight, but a questionable weaponlight. Don't know what to say about it's laser; if you can't sight it in, i would'nt want it on a weapon.

Re: NEBO Protec Flashlight/Red Laser
I bought a NEBO CSI Tactical Flashlight a while ago as an inexpensive, entry-level weapon light. It has an integrated red laser like the PROTEC lights, and the alignment seems to simply rely on lining the flashlight up parallel with the bore of the barrel. I wasn't really set on having a laser on my shotgun anyway, I just wanted a light, so the lack of adjustment wasn't a big deal.
The saying "you get what you pay for" is applicable, but some NEBO lights at least seem to be good values. I actually like the fact that they use AAA batteries instead of the more expensive lithium cells, since I use rechargeable AAs and AAAs for all my other electronics. The LEDs on my CSI light aren't going to fry an opponent's retinas like some higher-end lights will, but they're bright enough to leave someone seeing spots, and more importantly, will let me see what I'm shooting at. The S.O.S. flash mode is a nice added feature on the CSI, as well. For just $15, it's a pretty decent little flashlight.
As it turned out, the cheap flashlight clamp I bought was a piece of junk that wouldn't stay in place even after I added spray-on rubber grip material. I haven't gone looking for a better clamp since I have little need for a light if I'm defending my apartment, anyway. Instead, I just whipped up a belt pouch and made it my EDC flashlight for the time being.

Re: NEBO Protec Flashlight/Red Laser
I contacted NEBO and they said that since a shotgun is basically not a precision aiming weapon that they built the light and laser just to be able to point in the direction that the barrel was pointing and not to have to zero it. "A reference point" to shoot at. Sounds reasonable and makes sense, I really don't plan on using the laser because I do use a laser on two other weapons and I don't want to get in the habit of using a laser on a gun that can't be zeroed. Presents a greater chance of missing the target...

Re: NEBO Protec Flashlight/Red Laser
I agree, the laser isn't really necessary, I also have the same flashlight on my shotgun, and as stated above it won't totally destroy your eyes, but it's enough to see who's in my house in the middle of the night and allow me to make my choice from there. I'm sure there are better models out there, but for what I'm tryin' to do this one was perfect. Good for a budget build so to speak.
Just my two cents.
