Hi everybody,
I'm about as new as they come. I have an 870 en route to my local FFL and that's all I got under my belt (other than countless hours of web browsing fueling my OCD). After months of forum scouring and research I've made up my mind about what the "tacti-cool" accessories are....bottom line is I'm looking for a "full rail system" compatible with the ETA bobcat forend. I wish that an ETA full rhino rail was still an option, but they're pretty damn illusive. I like the Black Aces quad rail or whatever else is out there (and current that I don't know about). Have heard that Black Aces rail is not compatible with the breaching choke that my shotgun already comes with (I know it's completely unnecessary but I like it and its stayin). Anyways, any tricks to make the black acess quad rail work or whatever else is compatible with the Bobcat forend...any info is much appreciated!!! Thanks guys!

Not a huge fan of full-length rails (they're really only useful for the "cool" factor), but I can't imagine how a rail would be incompatible with the breacher choke. The extended portion is right in front of the gun's muzzle, so unless some part of the rail is actually in front of the muzzle (yikes...) it shouldn't be an issue.RVMS wrote:Have heard that Black Aces rail is not compatible with the breaching choke that my shotgun already comes with (I know it's completely unnecessary but I like it and its stayin).
Are you sure people weren't referring to other muzzle devices like the idiotic muzzle brakes Mossberg puts on some of its shotguns?

Lmao! That's a hell of a muzzle break! I actually read it on MossbergOwners.com, posted by somebody who claimed to be sell a lot of Black Aces Tactical gear. I know I have a Remingtom and not a Mossy, but I wasn't sure if it was the same scenario.
Why cant I use this rail with a breacher barrel?
The clamps are made for a straight regular barrel. When you add a breacher on the barrel the clamp may not fit snuggly. The whole design of the barrel keeps all the shock from your shots on that clamp. If it does not fit snug then the shock will transfer to the pins in the back of the gun...this will allow the rail to move around and eventually can break.

Maybe someone out there can shed some light on it. Black Aces quad rail for my 870 with the breacher choke on the barr...possible???

First off, meant to say on "barrel" not "barr". I also realized my question just changed from which rail is compatible with the Bobcat forend to is the BA quad rail compatible with the breaching muzzle. So I guess it is now a 2 part question.

Yeah, that's a Mossberg thing. Their muzzle devices are integral to the barrels, and so change the shape of the barrel.RVMS wrote:Lmao! That's a hell of a muzzle break! Remington's breacher stand-offs are just an extended choke tube. The barrel's contour is not changed, and the stand-off only extends in front of the muzzle.

The only way this would interfere with an accessory is if the accessory put something in front of the muzzle itself.

Take a look at the Mesa Tacital 20" rail with 6 shot Sureshell carrier. Here is my recent review. http://www.rem870.com/2013/07/24/mesa-t ... l-carrier/. Was thinking about selling it also because I was just sent a set of ghost rings to begin review on and they are not compatible. Let me know if you'd be interested. Mounted less that 6 months, great shape functionally and aesthetically, 200$ shipped. Let me know if your interested. This will. 100% work with your breaching choke and can supply pics. It's best with an 18" barrel, a few inches are over the receiver that's why it seems long at 20".
