CDM MOD-C opinions?

Post by will_reed »

I've been looking for days and can't find a better option for mounting a 1" to my 870 build. It appears that this mount will also serve to clamp my mag tube extension. Is there a better option that I'm missing or should I go ahead and pull the trigger?

Just another option (similar to the CDM) is Elzetta light mounts. They have several configurations like the ZSM, which would mount similarly to the CDM and you can add an optional short pic rail to the opposite side of light mount. They sell a lot of those on Amazon and get good reviews. Elzetta makes good light mounts, but i do prefer the CDM brand which also offers a short pic rail mount. I'm thinking of that for mounting my new TLR-1. If you opted for a mount with a pic rail, you could use a 1" offset light mount to hold your light. I'm just givin a few suggestions.

Heads up on the elzetta it is kinda a weird on the Nordic mag extension. You have to get the distance just right on the barrel to make sure the barrel sits right. I have it perfect and it is amazing.

I've looked at the Elzetta, but I'm still leaning toward the CMD...
