Added UTG rail to my 870 tactical need help!!!
Removed my factory rail from my 870 tactical to add my UTG rail. What should I do with the holes that the factory rail screws went into? Screws won't go back in deep enough to clear new rail?. Any ideas would be great

not sure if those screws are needed or not, but if they are not needed and it is only a cosmetic issue, they make plastic plugs with a dome head that you can just drive into tho hole with a hammer for some guns, I use them when I move the fire control group forward to fill the factory holes on my AK-47's

Try a 6-48X1/8" hex plug with some blue loctite. Here's a great place to get misc. scope/rail etc. screws. http://www.castbullet.com/screws.htm#hps
I forgot to mention that "Junior" at this site also has slotted head plug screws in blued or stainless as well as positive stop screws. The regular screws are about a buck apiece and the stainless a little more. He also has "Uncle Mikes" swivel studs and torx screws by Leupold. You can reach him by email at Junior@castbullet.com ----------- And no this is not a paid advertisement. Again, just trying to share what works for me.

I believe Remington has 870-specific plug screws you can order through their customer service line if you don't want to use the rail. I think they're part # F202853, which are a little over $3 each, but you should really double-check with them; their parts list doesn't exactly have pictures or lengthy descriptions.
