Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking about mounting a red dot sight on my Remington 870 that I mainly use for home defense. I’m curious how well it actually performs in low-light situations compared to traditional ghost ring or bead sights.
Does the red dot make target acquisition noticeably faster indoors, or does it just add unnecessary bulk and snag points? Also, any recommendations for a durable, low-profile mount that holds zero under recoil would be great.
Would love to hear from anyone who’s tried this setup — pros, cons, and what sight you went with.
Anyone using a red dot sight on a Remington 870 for home defense?
