Question on installing a saddle mount for scope
Question on installing a saddle mount for scope
Would installing an aftermarket saddle mount for a scope block the front bead sight? I have a 870 express with 28" barrel that I plan to use for clays and a 18" barrel for HD. I am interested in having the option of a scope mount but don't want to give up my ability to shoots clays with the 28" vent-rib bead-sighted barrel. Sorry I'm new to this and I wanted to ask before I went ahead and ordered one.

Check out BigHog's setup here:

It'll depend on what hardware you choose, or you always have the option of simply swapping the red dot & mount on and off for different builds, as long as it'll keep its alignment well enough for your HD ranges.

Re: Question on installing a saddle mount for scope
I have a millet and there is a slot that allows the use of the beads.
Not on my gun now it came with it but I have put firesights on it instead.
