What’s up everyone, my name is Jake. I recently bought my first 870, and she happens to be a bright nickel plated Wingmaster with the 18.5” barrel and full length mag tube. I was informed by the seller that she was built in 1974, and still need to give Remington a call to see if the nickel plating was factory or not because I’ve only ever seen the satin (duller nickel plating) on any of the 870’s I’ve seen online with the exception of a few that were aftermarket plating. I will get some pictures posted ASAP and would love any feedback from you guys. Glad to be here and excited to be a sponge and soak up all the information I can! Welcome aboard and howdy! If you're truly interested, I'd buy a reprint of the 1974 Remington catalog here (http://www.cornellpubs.com/old-guns/ite ... em_id=2079) and see what it has to say. No better source than their own catalogs. Welcome!
