I use the AIM 6 shell on my 870. Looks just like the other one linked above.
I only paid about $15 shipped for it on ebay though.
I have no idea what the OSP uses. I haven't been to Ohio in almost 40 years.

after some extensive research it might be that OSP uses Mesa Tactical shell carriers. the NEW 14in Barrel models they purchased through contract has Mesa 4 shell carriers in the bid. I can only assume this is what they used in the past.

I just sent a text to a buddy of mine in the OSHP. I 'll let you know what he replies...
Re: Ohio state patrol shell carrier
Here's a pic of what his OSHP issued 870P is wearing in his cruiser today. He says there are no markings on the outside, but it looks like a Mesa Tactical to me.
Re: Ohio state patrol shell carrier
Another senior Trooper I spoke to today said all of their Remingtons came that way per the OSHP order. He also said he didn't know what brand they were, as there are no markings visible on the outside without taking it off the shotgun.
He went on to say that the shell carriers sucked. When I asked him why, he said the holders quickly lose the ability to grip the hulls in the brass down position, and they have to push the brass all the way into the holder.
I'll ask my buddy to pull his carrier off and let me know what brand/model it is for sure if there are any name brand markings on the inside.

I think that's a Mesa Tactical shell carrier.
