Hello!
I was a pistol shooter and after a brief period of not shooting anything, I bought a Remington 870 Express Synthetic primarily for home defense.
I'm looking forward to learning from the experts here

Hello and welcome to the forum! Have you chosen flashlight for your shotgun? It is must have for home defense.

Thank you for the welcome. I haven't yet - I just purchased the gun a couple of weeks ago and have not yet decided what I like and what I'd prefer to alter.
It's still in its OEM form, without even the extended magazine.

I'd take the gun shooting and get a feel for it before you go adding things. Even a bare-bones, all-stock 870 will serve very well for HD. The best thing you can do to a new 870 is shoot it a lot, in order to break the gun in and slick up the action.

That's exactly my plan. I don't see a point in tricking something out what I don't know what I want or don't want.Synchronizor wrote:I'd take the gun shooting and get a feel for it before you go adding things. All I'm sure of is that I want to shoot it
