I'm a really short, old fart (58), and recently got my first shotgun, the 20 gauge Youth. (Short, remember?) I haven't fired yet, but picked up a slip-on recoil pad and slip-on shell carrier, so my armament is starting to look real cool!
I plan to clean and do some modest chamber cleaning before heading to the range because of some known issues, and am still debating whether to swap out the extractor. (Since the gun is brand-new, maybe these later MIM injected extractors got a little better.)
I'm ordering a green laser as soon as my wife lets me (tax refund coming), because in addition to the range, I plan to do Burmese and Rock Python hunting near the Glades. I'm gonna mount under barrel, and got this UTG mount which fits the barrel perfectly. I want to be able to just get the laser near the damn snake's head and pull the trigger, maybe from hip as well. Also got an in-chamber laser bore sighter:
Next step is Uncle Mike's sling mounts and sling (attaching to receiver cap), and then we'll see what other toys I can buy from there.
Sorry for being so long winded, but I wanted to tell my entire stupid story. Even if I never kill a single snake, at least it gets me out of the house.
