Was totally torn between a Mossberg 590 and a Remington 870 the other year. I ended up going the 590 route. However just got this years bonus so after buying a few bits for the house I'm blowing the rest on a 870 and a ton of parts.
This was my 590 build
So far I have orders the following for the 870. Let me know if I have missed anything good
Plus got a happy cap and did a colour fill job as well
Think I'm about spent through my bonus when I add the gun cost on top Will be worth it though

Nice Mossy! I think you've got mostly great upgrades for your 870. Two things though: Don't understand the 6rd Mesa and 4rd Mesa Sidesaddles when opting for all Magpul furniture? Secondly i'd recommend a Magpul forward sling Point/Bbl Clamp instead of the one you've picked out. Those sling points that mount between the Magazine and Mag Extension can cause feeding problems in an 870 and other problems (even w/o mag Ext.). Other than that, GREAT upgrades for your 870! I can tell you've got experience in Modding and working on shotguns with that nice Tactical Mossy conversion. Just givin my 3 cents worth.

I'm doing a full upgrade on a legacy sports Escort MPA at the moment. However the build is held up as Nordic components cant get me an MXT to England till September
Got it ripped down, Took ages cant believe how much red Loctite they used. once the Nordic parts arrive I should be able to measure the original tube do the cuts and threading and fit the +6 to take it to 11 +1

In regards of the side saddles, I just got them as options. Couldn't find info on clearance for the forearm was hoping they would fit, It not, Its not a big deal. I was going 6 on the left and 4 on the right. A bit like this
Cheers for the info on the forward sling plate. I will give it a go first, I have a couple spare wolf springs in my kit box might make a slightly longer spring and see if that prevents feed issues on the mag with the spacing between the end cap and plate
I'm not sure the spring change will make a difference. The sling plate causes a "gap" in the coupling which allows for the spring to get hung up in it. But good luck!

I believe you can actually fit the 8 rounder with no modification also, I know I have seen them together. I believe it just goes farther towards the shooter on the receiver.
That will be an awesome looking and functioning shotgun. Post some pics when you can. Seems like you've got a good plan and know how you want it to end up. I also believe you can install the Mesa 8rd Sidesaddle with no modification to your Magpul Forend. I only mention that b/c having a sidesaddle on both sides could possibly not allow you to grab your shotgun and get a fast grip and finger on the trigger, also with only one sidesaddle would make it more streamlined as well as having less issues with using a sling. Thats just my opinion though, having 11 rds on the sides would be advantagous if you ever need a lot of shells handy. Is'nt that a Speedfeed III Rear Stock you have in your Torn Down pic.
