Question about Magpul 870 MOE Forend and AFG 2

I've just installed the SGA Stock and MOE Forend. I'm trying to install the AFG 2 but for the life of me, I can't get it to slide on. The ridges on the Forend prevent me from sliding it on and if I put the Forend on first, I can't get the screws on the rails. Any ideas??

Before you install the rail slide the AFG2 onto the section. Push the AFG all the way to one side and install screw, slide the other way and install remaining screw. Then slide the locking screw thru the AFG. I don't have one in front of me but it should work in theory.

If you can't get that to work there may be a similar or better option. Look at MagPul's hand stop kits, it may work for you. I tried the MOE forend but it's just too narrow for me, the AFG2 is nice but the hand stops are a little lower profile and less weight.

This works... had the same challenge on this.... lol

Did notice that it was most comfortable overhanging the rail and all the way to the rear.

Had the same problem but the AFG works great once you get it mounted.
