28" express barrel bargain
28" express barrel bargain
A few days ago found this in the "bargain cave" at Cabela's. It's marked used but I think it was just because the packaging was kind of thrashed and it was returned. It looks new in every way and for this price I couldn't not take my chances. With (2) 870's and wanting to try trap this was a good find for me! I'm making the assumption maybe someone with the new extended mags bought it and then found out it doesn't fit? Who knows, it's mine now!

Re: 28" express barrel bargain
That's a darn good price if the barrel is in like-new condition. Trap is a fun game, I have a friend who lives in the Spokane area, and almost every time we both happen to be in the area, we take our 870s out to a local shotgun club to shoot trap.
If you want to get into it, you should see if you can find a Full choke tube to go with the Modified one that came with that barrel. Modified will work for quick, close-range trap games, but if you're shooting from farther back, or (like me) you like to take a little extra time to aim, a Full choke gives you the extra range for it.
Does the 26314 barrel come with a locking detent in the guide ring?

Yep, ball and detent. Next trip to Cabela's will throw a full choke in the cart. They got a whole aisle of chokes so I think I'll be set!
Thanks

I use to run my turkey choke to help make up for being slow on target. Fun stuff and very addictive.
