Howdy! I was finally able to find an 870 locally that wasn't totally overpriced (well under MSRP, inline with the better online prices), so I decided to join the 870 club. The other main contender was a Mossberg 590 of some sort, but I found the Magpul 870 first, and here I am. (An 870 was my first choice, though.) I know I could have probably went with a less tricked-out 870 for cheaper if I kept waiting, but the local selection for months has been Magpul 870 or semi-auto Benelli and FN. The latter two are nice, but a bit more money than I wanted to spend, and this is the first 870 Magpul I've found that wasn't MSRP or more. Since it already has Magpul furniture, I won't be doing a whole lot in terms of 'upgrades,' except for some things like replacing the magazine follower and possibly adding a shotshell carrier.

I'm moving to a rural home in a few weeks, where they get moccasins at the pond by the house, so I have a feeling this is going to be mainly used as a very expensive snake gun.
