Newbie Sight question

Post by Rich M »

This is my first thread posting on the forum...and need some advise and/or direction.

My newly purchased 870 should be arriving at Gander Mtn any day now, and the first
modification I'd like to do, is add some Tactical Sights to it.

The 870 ships from the factory with a front Bead, and that is all.....I'm thinking either
Ghost, Big Dot or Fiber Optic.

Will I need to drill and tap the barrel and receiver to install them, or does it come from
the OEM in that state?

Much Thanks in advance!

Here is post about ghost ring installation on Remington 870:

You will have to drill and tap the receiver if you want to have ghost ring sights.
