Hello! Grateful to be a new member of the forum.
I own a 12 Guage 870 Wingmaster that was my Grandfather's. It was obviously manufactured before 1968 and has no serial number. It has some surface rust and some minor pitting. I was thinking about doing the following things to the shotgun.
1. Refinishing the stock and forearm wood
2. Re bluing the barrel
3. Purchasing a marine finish 18" barrel.
4. Sending in the receiver and having it and the internals finished in a marine coating.
5. Purchasing a polymer stock and corn cob style forearm.
Has anyone here ever had the marine finish applied to their shotgun?

Welcome and hello. Not sure which marine coating you refer to, is it a Cerakote or Duracoat product? Sounds like you have a bunch of projects lined up. Until you truly decide, I'd add the synthetic stock but leave the original stock as-is. Those original Remington finishes were very durable unless yours is very abused or beat-up.
