Not new to guns but new to this one. My last Shotgun was a 590 SP and I figured why not venture into the Remington side and see what the fuss is about.
After searching for used I came up with the same rusted out 870's with same as new price tag. I haven't seen any good police guns in a while so I got a new 870 Express.

After looking around for cheapest new prices since used all pretty much held their value as new, I got a 18" barrel and FDE Magpul furniture. I did not realize how much shorter the barrel would get by doing this. No regrets at all, trying to not go overboard but seems like there is so much stuff out there to do just that. So far I'm about 60 rounds in, (all slugs since nowhere outdoors to shoot at nearby) and I can say the Magpul stock helps a lot.
