Howdy all,

I own an 870 express 12 gauge, I bought the gun a few years ago with very little knowledge of shotguns. Most of my shooting experience comes from my time in the Marines, so while I think I'm pretty knowledgable about M16s and SAWs I'm finding out there's a lot to learn about shotguns. I've found this site to be really useful in educating myself.

I'm mostly interested in hunting but find all aspects of the 870 very interesting. My gun came with an aimpoint saddle mount, 1x4 Leupold scope, rifled slug barrel, and rifle-style synthetic stock with a cheek riser. I replaced that stuff with a vent rib barrel and camo stock and fore-grip that I got on various websites to get the gun set up for spring turkey hunting.
