I have heard conflicting info on barrel comparability. I have a marine magnum with 14" barrel (order number 24413). I would like to get a second (longer) barrel. From what I understand they only do the marine finish on 14" and 18" barrels. Trying to figure out the best 28 or 30" barrel for it and which finish on the barrel would be best (including looks with the nickel receiver). This is assuming there's a barrel of that length that would work.
Thoughts/suggestions?
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Barrel compatibility
Re: Barrel compatibility
After buying your barrel, maybe you can get it refinished in Cerakote. It is one of the most highly regarded finishes and I know they offer a wide variety of colors. You can pick one which best matches your shotgun's nickel plating and maybe also get the barrel blasted with a coarser grit media during the prepping to better match your gun's finish texture.

Re: Barrel compatibility
With factory 28" and 30" barrels, the finishes are pretty much limited to Express oxide, Wingmaster bluing, and a handful of camo patterns. Any of these will be compatible with your gun, but none are going to match nickel plating very well. If looks are important to you, I suggest buying a standard barrel that meets your functional needs, and then having it nickel plated yourself. Here's an example from another forum member who went that route. And this thread has more information on looking up and ordering factory barrels.
