Magpul Sling Mount

Post by cwebb »

I am leaning towards the Mesa Tactical Clamp for securing a magazine extension but I'm curious about the Magpul Sling Mount.

I'm guessing that aside from providing a sling attachment point the Magpul product works equally well in terms of securing the extension but figured I'd ask here.

Does anyone have experience with this product? If so does it secure the ext tube as well as other clamps?

Thanks in advance!

Yes it works great as a barrel/mag tube clamp. I used one for a long time and it's a great clamp and sling point! It even comes with 4 small silicone pads that go between the barrel surface and clamp, keeps you from scratching your barrel. Magpul stuff is all good!

Yes, I agree. Although I am not using it at this time, I have had it on my Remington 870 and it is a well built part. Built right, works well, looks good too!

I ordered one just for use as a support, after replacing my stock follower I didn't like how easy the tube extension came off and had no support, ordered on ebay had 2 days later.I have a ms3 sling being used .

Every Magpul product that I've used has been well designed, well built and pretty affordable. That's a hard combo to beat.

Looking forward to trying this sling mount. Primarily as a extension tube clamp but also for administrative sling use during shooting classes.
