870 rail setup

Post by paully33 »

Just looking around at adding a rail setup to my 870. Anyone familiar with the rhino rail system over at Harris tactical, or the Minotaur system at tacticalshotgunaccessories.com . I believe allot of it is cosmetic especially for HD I have a Burris red dot not being used I figured I would add to it.

If you want to add a red dot, there's no need for a full-length rail unless your red dot is a foot and a half long. Simple is better for HD, and there are plenty of simpler and lighter ways to mount an optic.

I agree with Synchronizor. The fewer bells and whistles you have on you HD gun, the better. Less chance of something failing at the wrong time.
Mesa Tactical side saddle with rail. Six extra rounds. Easy to install. VERY light. The rail is even raised so you can look under it to see your front pin. Kinda like a ghost ring, only rectangular.
