New guy from PA/WV
Hey guys, just got an 870 for Christmas. Nothing special, wood stock, 28in barrel. I ordered an FDE Magpul stock and foregrip this morning. Looking for a magazine tube extension right now and getting the barrel shortened this weekend at the local gunsmith. Trying to figure out what to do for a front sight. Either have the gunsmith put a bead on it or not sure what.

But if you have your barrel shortened, you will need different version, this one attaches to existing bead...

Is it a vent-rib barrel? If so, the rib is a pretty good sight even without a front bead, but if you really want one, there are plenty of easy-to-install front sights designed to attach to a vent rib.

hey guys, yes it's a vent rib barrel. I put the Magpul SGA stock and Magpul foregrip on this weekend. The magazine extension tube, GG&G follower and L&M flashlight mount will be here this week. Still haven't got the barrel shortened. Never made it to the gunsmith this weekend. Appreciate the feedback.
