Lets have some pictures of your builds.
Re: Lets have some pictures of your builds.
thanks. 5 hours of hand polishing. if anyone is interested in what i used and how i achieved the finish lemme know. some have thought it was chrome or nickel plated and when i tell em its polished they seem surprized. do not try this with modern day 870's though as i have looked at the metal used for the reciever and it looks really grainy compared to my 1979 reciever. as production increases in anything there are sacrifices that need to be made and i thing the overall finish of the new 870's are one of them.

Very cool project, no one's got an 870 like yours. Looks great, enjoy shooting it.

Current build I'm running.. Still deciding on what side saddle to get.
Non-mim extractor.
Upgraded the dog follower to match the police
Upgraded the follower
Magpul stocks and clamps.
Improved cylinder
XS ghost ring sights
Quick release swivels
I know I'm forgetting something but cannot remember at this time.

My 870 is similar to yours with the exception of a sling and I went with FDE. I was debating on which side saddle to get, decided on a TacStar which I found cheaper at a gun show.

So far I'm leaning toward Mesa Tactical Sureshell 12-Gauge Shotshell Ammunition Carrier. The install seems better than the gg&g, I don't feel like threading the screw on the internal part of the trigger guard.MauiWowwee wrote:My 870 is similar to yours with the exception of a sling and I went with FDE. I thought the threads were just on the end of the bolts for the TacStar. From my observation, they only catch on the retaining clips. I got a feeling after a few field strips, those clips may need to be replaced.

Yeah, tacstar seems like that. You should check out the Mesa tactical one. You can see the screws in YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKQB22sUfRU

Carlo1137, nice setup! What sling is that? I was looking for simple sling like yours.

Hey Vitaly, this sling is by a local company here in Seattle. I have to find the name for it, but it was only $10 at the gun showVitaly wrote:Carlo1137, nice setup! What sling is that? I was looking for simple sling like yours.
