Not original trap barrel, and the barrel was cut (so cyl bore), and receiver bluing is very thin, and worst of all the buttstock is chipped around the receiver. So sad. But thats why I got it really cheap. Its an 870TX.

Beautiful wood, even chipped. Is the stock bearing plate missing?

It wasnt when I took it apart but could have happened previously. Even with the bearing plate installed the edge of the stock is all smooshed up onto the sharp edge of the receiver. Makes me wonder if someone converted pre-plate stock but took too much wood off the bearing surface, or a poor attempt to adjust cast by shaving the stock.

It'll still be a respectable trap stock once built up with epoxy, tinted brown, reshaped. I may keep it because the higher comb will probably be about perfect for slug barrel with irons. Or maybe I'll put a Trijicon RMR on top.

Finished my 870 today with Boyd’s furniture. It’s a 20 ga. With the Nordic extended mag tube, non mim extractor, and the vang comp extended safety.

How long is the barrel and how much is the magazine extension?

How long is the barrel and how much is the magazine extension?

It’s the factory barrel I’m not sure what the length is. And I think it’s the +6 extension. The gun now holds 10 +1 in the chamber.
