870 Police trade in. Before & after. I had to replace the bolt & trigger group due to excessive rust & there was a crack in the rivet by the ejector that needed replacement as well.

Here's a couple of pics of my son's 870 Express 20ga that I bought him for Christmas in 2004. The occasion is I scored a pretty nice deal on a Remington fully rifled slug barrel with rifle sights on Gunbroker and it was delivered today. It's nothing fancy, but loads of fun to shoot. Looking forward to sighting in with sabot slugs. If anyone has recommendations for brand and load, would definitely appreciate your suggestions.

Fellas, I came across this deal on Gun.Shop.com for a Remington 870 Tactical Shotgun 12GA 18.5" HAD A FEEL QUESTIONS
1. Is this a good deal for a new Remington 870 12GA Tactical Shotgun?
2. Anyone owned or shot this shotgun? If so how does it shoot? Much kick?

You might get more responses if you start a new thread with this. Can't answer your question myself as I don't have that model. Big fan of Rem 870s though!

Don't have that model but have used 870's for decades. You'll find that the recoil will be somewhat split between your should & the web of your hand because of the pistol grip. To each his own but I don't like a pg on a shotgun.
