This began as an 870 Express that would rust if you looked sideways at it.

I took an old Wingmaster trigger assembly, put a Timney trigger upgrade kit on it. Made just about every internal upgrade possible.

Ed Vandenberg cut and threaded the barrel and mounted the rail. He didn't want to thread it but I accepted responsibility if it didn't work out. It turned out great. Good dude, solid work.

IA Coatings cerakoted it and used some special slick coating on the inside of the receiver. Also, an outstanding group of guys. Family owned, salt of the earth those guys.

The red dot is a JPoint 68 MOA circle dot. I love it. I had one on my Glock 30 that I carried for about 5 years. I also have one on my wife's SBR.

The wife can hold it with the grip (not shouldered) and fire without fatigue (without the can). That can is heavy even in the shortest configuration hanging out there on the end of the barrel.

I had the Black hawk pistol grip on there for a while with a thumb activated laser. Interesting and fun but you'd need a ton of practice to get proficient that way.

I haven't shot any supersonic ammo through it since I got the stamp. Don't intend to. When I take it out to the ranch to shoot I typically take the can off and put in the tightest choke. Nothing feels like a SBS.
