Latest upgrade: S&J Hardware's bayonet lug and +3 magazine extension. I found the quality of their products to be top-notch! Now all I need to do to complete my project is fabricate the muzzle shroud assembley, and incorporate the bayonet lug (along with a sling swivel mount) into it.

Blaming a death on a firearm is like blaming a mis-spelled word on a pencil.

vmax- what are the two on the bottom of the pic? Those are beautiful! I just picked up a pawn shop special...an 870 Wingmaster made in '76 and it needs to be restored. The stock is a no-go, but the metal and internals can all be salvaged with some elbow grease and a new blue job. I'm shooting for somewhere in between a new Wingmaster and a Classic Trap in terms of finished style, but closer to half of the msrp when restoration costs are factored in.

What furniture is that? Factory or custom? and the gold triggers....my motor is running now!

Thanks for looking. The gold inlay is a 100th comemerative 1908 -2008 and the bottom 870 is a new wingmaster. The 100th has pretty nice high grade factory wood. I could take better pics if you would like. In the mean time check out the bad ass Mississippi Rive DU edition

Wow that's some pretty wood vmax... I prefer the matt finish to that bowling-ball type varnish Remington uses, but oh yes, no way you could pass that one up!

What's the 100year anniversary of?

I agree a low luster or oil finnish has a rich look but that's the way the big green made them. My shiny guns are collectors only. My user guns are synthetic or oil rubbed. The 100th Commemorative Edition celebrates 100 years of remington pump action shotguns from the mod 10 in 1908 to 2008.List price was $949.99 with gold inlay and " B" grade American walnut limited run for one year.
