Great Blog Huh?

Just bought my first 870 Express from good ole Waly World and happened upon this blog. Doesn't look like I need to go further. I've already ordered a new shotgun follower at the advice of "that guy" who runs this thing, ha. Living in a rural area of Florida (yes there are still some left) I decided to buy the 870 for home protection and maybe a little hunting. It is not exactly tactical as I opted for the 26" barrel but hopefully it is the best choice for all around basic use. So, I have a shotgun but no ammo is available. It has the Realtree camo finish so it looks pretty sitting there in the corner.

I am excited to be here and am very impressed with this blog. I am sure I will learn all I need to know about my new shotgun right here.

Shotgun shells not available? Even at the worst part of the ammo crisis I could go into Wally World and get shotgun shells, now 40 and 45 are becoming fairly easy to find, 9mm is coming back slowly but take a little looking and some luck and finding .22 is like finding a unicorn (if you don't want to get raped on the price)

Yeah, I was able to get .40's easily. There was not one shotgun shell to be had nor any .22's. I'll find them somewhere.

UPDATE: Checked the same Walmart today, different clerk, gobs of ammo available. I guess last nights clerk was having a bad day.

Yes I am impressed. I ordered the 870 Shotgun guide (different email address). That is an awesome read if anyone wants to really familiarize them-self before they hit the range. I carried a police Rem 870 for years in my other life when I was a Law Enforcement Officer and had no idea of the things I learned from your publication. Keep up the excellent work.
