Blackhawk Specops Gen ii Stock Discontinued?!?!?!?!

Does anyone know why the Blackhawk Specops Gen ii Stock was discontinued?

Are they going to replace with a newer improved version?

They're on "production hold" until probably late summer, if all goes well.

Hopefully the cheek punch issues are being squared away... I'd really like to get one as well.

Man I was set on getting one of these but if they might improve on it guess I will have to wait. Probably just going to get a Remington Supercell recoil pad for right now.

I hate to say this, but i'm suprised so many people use that stock, and like it. Blackhawk makes a few good products, but that Specops Gen II Stock is not one of them. I bought one quite a while back, installed it, shot 5 rds with it on. I returned it the next day.
There are so many good choices for a "Tactical Stock", like Mesa, Magpul, Fab Defense, Speedfeed. I honestly don't get the attraction to that particular stock. Hell the action on it's adjustable LOP is plastic on plastic, and the PowerPack addon just gives you a black eye. But hey, i guess they "look cool"!

I did have a Gen I on my Mossberg 590 SPX and it was really disappointing. Even if BH come up with a really working one, I am sure not going to spend any money on it.
