mossberg made remington 870 barrel

need some help with mounting. bought a mossberg made remington 870 breacher barrel. when installing it the ring that sits over the magazine tube is too low so when you put the end cap on the barrel moves. unlike the original barrel which the ring sits directly below the end cap. what am i doing wrong. barrel says for 870 express. i have an 870 express tactical with 18.5 inch barrel.. Need some suggestions

The tactical 870's might have a different magazine tube, I am not sure. I put a mossberg remington 870 regular 18.5 barrel on a normal 870 express with no problems (scratches way easier than the remington barrel). So I don't know if it helps, but it might.

Some of the Express Tactical models use the standard 870 4+1 receiver with a +2 magazine extension, while some others use a specialized 6+1 receiver with a longer, solid, one-piece mag tube. The latter are meant to be single-purpose shotguns, and they will not accept standard 870 barrels without custom work.
