I received my bad ass new Gen 2 today! It is the recoil reducing one , but I got one that says it fits mossberg 500 etc... does anyone know for sure if this will fit my 870 before i open it up and void the return policy?! I thought a lot of things between the mossi 500 and Remi 870 were interchangeable, but somn looks a little off...any body know if these stocks are compatible between the two guns?

Caleb, all websites offer different versions for Remington 870 and Mossberg 500. You should send it back to receive a Remington 870 version.

Hey, been gone shootin. Got my Black Hawk Spec ops gen II installed after getting the correct one FINALLY!. Install was pretty easy. Did have to put a little mind and muscle into the fore end to get it on right. Ive heard some people have to (or think they have to) use a dremell tool to mill out some of the plastic on the fore end. Mine just had to be pulled apart slightly for the slide rail pieces and plastic to come together.
Took it out with some sport loads and 00 Buck shot for a nice comparission... i really like the functionality of this kit. Hell ya :P
