Anyone know which way to turn the round screw (clock wise or counter clock wise when looking down on the screw) on a Remington Nylon 66 rear sight (elevation) for adjustment? as when I am looking through the rear sight and front sight with my eyes and pull the trigger the bullet hits above the target. The owner's manual does not specify. Thank you in advance for help/replies.

Remington Nylon 66 rear sight (elevation) adjustment
Re: Remington Nylon 66 rear sight (elevation) adjustment
On the rear sight, turning the screw clockwise will raise the POI (point of impact). Turning the screw counterclockwise will lower the POI.
Re: Remington Nylon 66 rear sight (elevation) adjustment
To adjust the elevation on the Remington Nylon 66 rear sight, turn the round screw counterclockwise to raise the rear sight, which will lower the impact of the bullet (bring it closer to the target). Conversely, turning it clockwise will lower the rear sight, raising the point of impact.
