So many great builds in this thread. I just finished this one today. Modified a factory tactical with Magpul furniture, Magpul sling attachment point at the receiver, upgraded the safety (jumbo head) and extractor (non-MIM), added a Scattergun +1 mag extension with a new spring and follower to bring it to 7+1, and a neat little CDM Gear picatinny rail attachment for the Surefire. I've got a rail for the receiver, but haven't decided if I want to use it. I'd need to have it drilled and tapped. Sold my KSG in order to build this. Much happier with this as a home defense solution. First pic is as I received it. Second is completed build. Third is the muzzle with mag extension and light.

mtbradley, I like the looks of that with the magpul furniture. I converted a police gun that way but sold it to purchase another. I liked the fit and feel of the magpul furniture.

870 Express upgraded with Hogue Short LOP stock, Remington +2 mag extension, Streamlight TL Racker Fore end, Archangel 7 side saddle, slugs brass up for easy find in dark, Volquartzen machined extractor, heavy dog carrier spring, Wilson combat oversized dome head safety, Magpul MS3 sling, Magpul front sling mount, Grovtec flat base in stock.

an old wingmasterI bought afew years ago, all bluing was rubbing offf, wooden stock and forearm. I replaced thestock and forearm , put the sig Romeo reddot on it, addeda 2 shot mag extension with barrel band form G,G&G, along with their stainless steel follower. I also dura coated it in Black matte.
