Recently purchased 870 "Wingmaster Deer"...

Newly purchased shotgun is engraved/stamped on the chamber side of the receiver (opposite the firearm's serial number side of the receiver) "WINGMASTER DEER". Been around a day or two... grew up from the 70's in Iowa shooting Wingmasters... this is an oddity for sure (to me). Limited run? Failed run?

Gone for a lot of years in the USMC... out-of-the-loop for a long period. Longtime Iowa hunting buddies (and prolific killers of Whitetails) aren't sure what to think either.

So, any thoughts on this 870 "WINGMASTER DEER"?
