Hello everyone. I own one 870 that I bought in the mid 80's. I bought it for pheasant hunting when I lived in Illinois. I now reside in Western North Carolina.
I love this shotgun and it is still in new condition. Believe it or not, I never thought to look for a forum for this particular gun. I will have some questions and look forward to participating.

Re: Old 870 owner
Thanks for the welcome guys!
I wish there was a bit more activity here, however, I will definitely keep checking in. I'm glad that this forum exists. I'm thinking of getting a more tactical barrel for my Magnum and could use some advice, Remington, Mossberg, Carlson etc. Rifled vs smooth bore. I'm sure these are common issues and have probably been covered here before. Mine does have the Rem chokes, full, modified and improved, so maybe a smooth bore that will accept them?
Sorry to go on under this thread. I should have posted these issues in a sub-forum I guess.
