Damn, five days? I get pissed if mine takes over 2 minutes.

Yep. Here in Texas they do it while you wait. Walk out of the store in a few minutes, gun in hand.
There is no greater defense against evil on the rampage that a loaded firearm in the hands of a free man.

Same in ALaska, and our CCL's have a "NICS EXEMPT" stamp also.Chef Duane wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 5:23 am Yep. Here in Texas they do it while you wait. Walk out of the store in a few minutes, gun in hand.

While I’m not a fan of the 5 day wait (Cali), It doesn’t make me whine about it either. I mean we ARE taking about a deadly weapon, not a pack of gum.

I never understood how a waiting period does anything to prevent crime.

Are we? Wow, I must've missed that line to sign up in. I've yelled at mine, screamed at mine, left them loaded, left ammo near them...not a single one has ever done a foul deed other than collecting dust. The gun itself is incapable of doing anything deadly. Totally incapable.

Not really trying to argue your comment... but if it’s not a deadly weapon , then it’s useless for home defense or hunting.Scorpion8 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 3:21 amAre we?
