Now that looks like a superb entry-level trap gun at a very affordable price for clubs or youth teams. Hmmmmm, Christmas is coming too and ….

No I didn’t buy one but I built my own version with my $65 receiver, barrel I bought online, and miscellaneous parts I had laying around.

Which barrel did you get? Express Trap has a raised comb stock also.

Thinking of it also. Was going to buy a 870 Express Deer + 30" barrel. I could buy the trap and use a existing slug barrel and have a multi use shotgun. The stock and barrel are exactly what we need. according to factory spec slightly different from whats available on line.
I'm in for the group buy

Hello, all! First post here.

I joined the forum after many hours of searching the forums for users who had bought the 870 Express Trap; unfortunately, I got nowhere as this model is fairly new and no one has posted anything on it yet.

I picked it up last weekend and have been making a few upgrades but have not taken it to the range just yet. In the meantime, here are some pictures of the 870 Express Trap out of the box. Below are the specs from Remington.com

30" Barrel - Sporting gun perforance at an affordable price
Ships with 3 newly developed choke tubes (16 yard tube with .028 points of constriction)
Great cross over gun for sporting clays
Monte Carlo Stock- which will naturally raise the point of impact
Standard Express finish on barrel and receiver
Target Sights: Metal mid bead and Ivory Front
Shoots both 2 3/4" and 3" shells
Receiver milled from a solid billed of steel for maximum strength and reliability
Silk-smooth twin action bars prevent binding and twisting for maximum strength and reliability
Gold trigger
12 Gauge
