I went to the rally in Richmond VA on Monday and stopped at a gun shop in town and they had Express Tactical 870 that was used by the Department of Corrections for $200. It ate me up all week so I went back today and grabbed one. The story is the DOC only had them for 4 months and had shot a box or two through them. There was a story as to why they didnt keep em but I cant remember what it was, contract related I think.
Anyway, what is the skinny on these? Are the Express models a liability? Thanks in advance, it is a good looking gun.
Picked up my first 870 today

Think I'll go wander around a few gun stores and pawn shops tomorrow and search for a deal. Congratulations on yours.

Hardly. The Express model is simply not as finely finished as the Wingmasters, but are virtually the same. I own 3 and none of them have any issues whatsoever. Enjoy that!

wingmasters are what you show your friends that stop by your house.
expresses are what you show enemies that break into your house.
