Shell holder for a factory folding stock?

Post by Sulaco83 »

So, I just bought a Wingmaster with an extended mag tube and factory Remington top folding stock. I realize that it might not be incredibly practical. My question is this... is there a shell holder that is compatible with this stock? I want to mount it on the actual arm of the stock, not the receiver.

What I started doing with my sidesaddle was to use velcro. I would clean the side of my receiver with alcohol then cut and attach the loop material to the side. Then I would do the same with the sidesaddle using the hook material. It worked out really well and has lasted through high heat and biting cold for at least 5 years. I have stopped using the hard plastic sidesaddles and have moved on to the soft ones like Estacc or Threegungear. Both already have a velcro surface on the back. Why don't you try something similar with the folding stock. With the stock in the folded position, you could set it up so the sidesaddle is on the top. Then you fold it down, you can load from under the stock ( slow but at least you have extra ammo). You could even put more velcro on the side of the receiver and move the sidesaddle there (faster and more convenient). Good luck.
