call me a dog
Hahaha. New guy here. I've been a machinist for 20 years. And a gunsmith off and on for 15 years. As far as the gunsmithing is involved, I specialized in 1911's. Built some pretty good ones. Sold some, kept some. Y'all know the story. And that takes us to the 870...My first shottie was a W... Home Defender. Not a bad gun by any means, I just didn't like the aluminum receiver. Sold it to my buddy and bought a Rem870. Fast fast forward to now, I own 2 870s. One for hunting and one for home defense. I decided it was time to fix up my home defense gun, so I joined this site. I learned a lot from the "how to" on this site about the 870. And I some to add so stay tuned!

Re: call me a dog
To be honest, none of my guns are really interesting to look at. I've never been into tacticool. As we used to say back in the day, function before fashion. An example would be: I took my Browning Hipower, cut off the ambi-left side safety, polished up the sear and hammer. Being right handed i can get a higher grip on it and dropped the the trigger pull from #9 to #5.
Here is some hand gun goodness:
