New guy, question, thanks ahead of time.

Discuss all accessories and upgrades available for the Remington 870 shotgun: stocks, forends, barrels, chokes, magazine extensions, followers, safeties, sights etc.

New guy, question, thanks ahead of time.

Hello all! New guy to the forums. I discovered this place hile searching for my answer, hope you all can help.

I am an owner of a brand new plain 18.5" Remington 870 Synthetic tactical.

It is the one wit the built in 6 round tube. I found a 20" barrel on CDNN Sports. It's $69.99. It looks similar, but the retention ring is in the middle, as opposed to the end. Will tis barrel work on my shotgun?

Hey new guy, Welcome!

Unfortunately, you're the latest to discover the annoying barrel limitations of the new fixed 6-round mag 870s. There are no other barrels being made to fit that configuration. Wish I had better news.

Thank you! Well, that just means I need to make this one a fun gun, and buy a second one for different barrels.
