Hello there.
I want to order a Wilson combat +2 extension without sling mount and would like to get a clamp that I can add a light on.
Does anyone use the WC with a Nordic comp clamp? I like the look of it.
It would seem that it will fit but I was wondering how well.
Do you have any other recommendations?
Thanks.
John

Re: Wilson combat +2 and Nordic clamp
I'm looking forward to hearing how it works.
Wilson Combat extensions have a 1" outer diameter, as do many other Remington magazine extensions. According to Nordic's site, their extension tubes (and the clamps designed to fit them) have larger outer diameters of 1.06". However, due to how the Nordic clamp is designed, I wouldn't be surprised if it works on standard 1" tubes as well.

Yeah, looks like it's fitting pretty well. And if it fits with the Wilson Combat, it should work with most other 1"-OD magazine tubes & extensions. You're sure it's not trying to push or pull the tube out of alignment with the barrel?

I just took a micrometer to it. I measured a .002 " push.Synchronizor wrote:Yeah, looks like it's fitting pretty well. Since it is not an exact fit, I think one needs to be wary of over tightening and marring the barrel or extension.

Re: Wilson combat +2 and Nordic clamp
Good to know. Sounds like this clamp should work fine with standard-OD single-piece magazine extensions, but careful installation & testing might be in order with more-sensitive two-piece extensions.
Thanks for the information.

Re: Wilson combat +2 and Nordic clamp
I also have a Wilson combat extension on my 870, but want to keep the gun at operator level fieldstripping it without tools if something goes doublefeed or anything else. Therfore no clamps on mine. I would prefer a Surefire or an 870 picatinny rail forend for light attachments maybe a single barrel clamp if it exist.

If nothing else, you could always replace the attachment screw(s) in a barrel clamp with thumbscrews.
