x-caliber wrote:guess I will add mine to, a Left handed Remington 870, chopped the barrel, added front and rear rifle sights, Leapers Tactical Picatinny Rail Scope Mount, Nordic Components +2 Magazine, phoenix technology kicklite stock, magpul foregrip, weaver to dovetail conversion for rear sight, ( I had to cut the dovetail down to 3/8 inch for the rear sight to fit on it) the conversion part was something like a half inch dovetail, but worked just fine and is super tight, front sight is a flat base ramp (I had to grind the sides down a little bit because it was about an 1/8 inch wider than the the rib vent.) then drill and tap for 6x32 screws, I had to cut them down as well, with a 1/2 inch blade sight. a short barrel for a let handed gun is next to impossible to find so I cut mine down to 18.75 inches.

Hi,

Where did you purchase that front sight and how did you install it on the vented bbl ?
Thanks.

Here's my R870, it was built in 1988, I bought it used.
BTW does someone know if the quality is any good that year ?

I love that Urbino stock, it does a great job taming the kick.

It's an 870. Barring the occasional defect (which is inevitable in any large-scale production operation) they're all good. If all its parts are 1988 or newer, you should have the fully-updated flex-tab action, as well.

Thanks for your answer, yes i do have the flex tab conversion (U-shaped cut in the lifter), the extractor is non-MIM and the ejector was replaced under warranty a week ago.
I'm all happy.

The bolt and slide assemblies were also modified for the flex-tab update. If you haven't yet, it would be a good idea to check those as well.

What as wrong with the ejector?
