I have another gun with the Scattergun Technologies +2 and the factory follower would hang up. I changed that to the Wilson follower and it's been fine ever since. That gun also has the Scattergun spring. I suspect that the factory follower can deform or tilt under pressure and hang up in the gap between the tube and 1 piece extension.

The issue with that combo is that the Wilson Combat springs are "beehive" springs that are narrow on the ends, and wide in the middle. The wider central coils are too wide to stack up nicely inside cup-style followers like the factory followers, they instead hang up on the edge of the cup, adding drag and encouraging the follower to tilt.

Top is 20" barrel 590A1 with Magpul front and rear, MOD-C clamp up front Streamlight PolyTac, Magpul MS-1 sling, and Esstac shell card on sticky-tape velcro backing.

Bottom is old 870 Express with Mossberg 18.5" cylinder bore replacement barrel, Scattergun Tech +2 magazine extension, Magpul furniture and MS-1 sling, Streamlight TLR-1 HL, and same Esstac on velcro.

I tried the Wilson Combat big safety button on the 870 but took it off as I found it sticky and unreliable so I swapped back to stock.
