Remington 870 Front and Rear Rifle Sights Installation and Removal
There are several posts about Williams Fire Sights on Rem870.com:

I decided to try another type of Williams Fire Sights on my Remington 870 with rifle sights:
Williams Gun Sight Co. manufactures a lot of different sights for different types of guns. And Remington 870 with rifle sights enables you to replace standard sights easily. You just push out the front sight using brass punch and then install the new one. Dovetail front sight may require some fitting. Also try installing it from different sides, one side may fit better than the other.
Rear sight is even easier to change, just unscre the rear sight windage screw and replace the factor sight aperture with new one.
Remeber to zero new sights after installation.

What do I use to nock out the original front sight? I’ve tried an Allen key but I’m scratching it.
Brass punch, you can find them pretty cheap: https://www.rem870.com/2019/03/04/winchester-15-piece-brass-steel-punch-set/
does this fit on a newer remington 870 express with the fully rifled deer barrel? the item description says “pre 2003”.
I have the old Rem 870 21″ rifled slug barrel and the rear is missing both the small mount and the sight that screws into that mount. I can’t tell if the Williams Fire Sights Rear Sight includes that base mount? It is pictured with it but the videos I have seen show the original base mount being used. Thoughts?
Great information! I have an 870 Express Magnum 20 with smooth bore slug barrel that is 19.5” long. I’m trying determine year so I can put trijicon sights on it. The stamping on the barrel is very poor. The first letter is an R the second letter is T, F or possibly an I. It has a J safety lock. Serial# D317705U. IMP CYL 2-3/4” or 3”. Right side triangle with P inside, K Can you help with year of manufacturing?
It’s better to call Remington directly, they can tell you the exact manufacture date.
