The following is nothing but my opinion and should not be taken as anything BUT that. So PLEASE don’t be insulted by anything that I say: cuz it’s not meant that way I assure you. I am not crazy about the vertical foregrip nor the relatively smooth-sided body of MagPul’s base forend in general. Nobody knows how tight money can be more than I do at the moment. I do not own and therefore can’t speak for the quality of the TacStar shell holder. I can only rely on other’s opinions thereabout; which have been somewhat negative compared to higher end units like the Mesa Tastical unit. While I am a big fan of the clamps that Scott Dew makes at CDM; I Do like the MagPul sling bracket you installed. That having been said; you certainly don’t seem to have done this build in a piece-meal fashion! You have amassed quite the “finished” weapon here! Enjoy it in good health.

how hard was it to install? did you have to do any fitting adjustments on the forend?
