OZ KARA 12 Gauge Shotgun Slug Photo and Description
This post is about Oz Kara slug for 12 gauge shotguns.
OZ-KARA 12 Gauge slug is a Brenneke-style solid lead slug with copper ball inside. This ball fragments slug into several parts when it hits the target. Also it allows better penetration of the target.
OZ-KARA slug has fins cast onto the outside and a plastic wad attached to the projectile. This wad serves as a gas seal and stabilizez slug after firing.
I have not tested it but heard good feedback about Oz Kara slug. This can be a good choice for reloading.
I plan to get a Lee Load-All 12 reloader soon and test different types of slugs for a shotgun.

Can anyone vouch for these slugs and give us more details (max range, ballistics, etc…)?
I have used them, I reload. The ball is copper coated steel (or other hard metal) so it is very good to pass through hard materials yet when it connects with soft material is breaks forward exposing the hollow point of the slug. That’s about all I know atm, but I will be carrying out further tests soon.
Bill, thanks for the info. Please let us know results of your further tests.
What other types of slugs do you use in reloading?
This Slug is totally change your vision how a bullet is!! 4mm steel plate would get an inch of hopper hole from 30m distance!!!
Can these be ordered in the states? I would like to purchase some for testing.
